Yum

As a change from the usual flowers and vines, this year, a patio tomato graces my front porch.

Tomato Plant

Is anything tastier than a tomato, ripened on the vine and eaten still warm from the sun?

I picked a couple of these last night, chopped them up and added them to some pasta, olive oil and fresh basil. Then, poured a glass of Pinot Grigio and enjoyed. Yum.

  1. You are right, nothing better than a home grown tomato. And they look so pretty, too.

  2. I'm doing the same thing....you cannot beat these home grown.

  3. Oh, yes! Heaven in a bowl. A little fresh mozzerella with the same & some crusty bread, sooo delicious :)

  4. It's a great idea for a porch plant. I've thought of doing it, but I think the critters would eat them. There was actually a ground hog on our front porch today--incredibly bold.
