... And I Helped

Earlier this summer, I shared some of the Tula Pink sampler blocks I made for a group quilt being made by the Chicken River Modern Quilters in Las Vegas (New Mexico) for a fund-raiser for their guild.   I ended up making 11 blocks.  Now, the quilt is finished and it is fantastic. 


The setting is the one called Urban Planning.  When I flipped through the book, it wasn't my favorite option, but now, I think it's pretty perfect for showing off our collection of diverse blocks.  It's a lovely group effort and I'm happy to have been part of it.

  3. I have to say....I too like the setting and I've not seen it before. I think it will appeal to many and be a terrific fundraiser. Congrats on your part!

  4. Wow, that's beautiful. The diversity of blocks and color along with the offsett yet calming setting backround really shines. Balance in unbalance. Awesome!

  5. beautiful quilt, I have to say I really like this setting, interesting as well. your right it makes the blocks work and tames them a bit!

  7. I just love the bright blocks against that background, it really makes them pop. I will have to visit that quilt store some time when we are up in that area.

  12. It looks fantastic! Perhaps someday I'll make enough blocks to do one myself... Though I'm tempted by some of the other layouts as well...
