Of course, Johnny protested that I was outside in his territory without him.

It was perfectly calm UNTIL I hung the quilt over the wall of the upstairs deck ... I waited until the wind died down enough for the quilt to become mostly flat again. Here it is again, from a different perspective.
I'll be linking this post to the finishes party for A Lovely Year of Finishes later this month.
Very lovely finish Sophie! Those littl turquoise squares really make it pop...hugs, Julierose P.S. I envy your lovely weather--31 degrees and cooold here today--have to bundle up for my walk--I end up looking like "Nanook of the North lol"
ReplyDeleteThat looks beautiful.
ReplyDeleteIt is beautiful. I love the pop of color in the binding. Yep the same thing happens to me it can be very calm and the moment I try to take a photo of a quilt the wind kicks up.
ReplyDeleteLove the photography! I wish I had an upstairs adobe deck........
ReplyDeleteGreat finish. I love the binding. It seems to reflect the plaid. I'm sure that wasn't a fluke.
ReplyDeleteHugs
Great Pictures Sophie! This quilt looks like it would be SO snuggly!!
ReplyDeleteI love zigzag quilts. I've made two and love them both. I like your use of plaids.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great shot of your quilt hanging up there- you couldn't have chosen such a better colour than your adobe deck walls to hang it.
ReplyDeleteWONDERFUL quilt and AMAZING photos . . .
ReplyDeleteLove the scattered plaid colors. It looks great up close or far away. I miss that kind of architecture. And that color of sky. It's a more washed out blue here. Different latitude, I suppose. Congratulations on your lovely finish.
ReplyDeleteLove the plaids as well and Kitty..:)
ReplyDeleteIt's a beautiful quilt with a very masculine feeling!
ReplyDeleteA great finish, Sophie. Being out in the sun made it look brighter. That was a nice setting you used. Thanks for linking to WIPs Be Gone. I like to see finishes, too as that WIP is Gone!
ReplyDeleteLove the finished quilt! It looks cozy and warm. . . and done! Doesn't New Mexico have THE most beautiful skies?!
ReplyDeleteA lovely finish!
