The Flintstones is 50 years old. It is a cartoon from my childhood, so it made me smile to see that Google was celebrating The Flintstones anniversary today:
I am, admittedly, a fan of those Google doodles. Read more (and see other notable Google doodles) here--Google Celebrates 50 Years of The Flintstones.

THELMA!
ReplyDeleteI love the Flintstones. Wasn't Top Cat the same era?
The start of the Flintstones was the start of my life becoming non-stop WILMAAAAAA, lol. I loved my name until then. Plus, to this day, and I will be 60 in January, I hear "Where's Fred?" from patients at work at least once a day.
ReplyDeleteClare's comment has be guessing that Wilma became Thelma for UK audiences. Maybe Wilma in NC would still love her name if it had been THELMAAAAAA here, too ;-)
ReplyDeleteDon't you love how that looks like a wonky town?
ReplyDeleteI just came across 10 Neat Things about The Flintstones with some old clips and fun facts.
