Work Interrupted
This is technically more work interrupted than work in progress. It's a detail of my class project from Bonnie McCaffery's face painting workshop in Houghton Lake last month.
The same weekend that I was there, enjoying quilts, vendors and great teachers, events at home would lead me to the decision to find a new home and move ASAP and that has been my priority since ... in the meantime, this woman patiently waits on my design wall, until my focus can return to more creative pursuits.

I can certainly relate to moving priorities getting in the way of creative pursuits!
This face is amazingly lifelike; wonderful proportions and the eyes are very expressive.
Please keep us posted on your progress with your move, and good luck.
Thanks for the compliment on the class project--the reason I took the class with Bonnie is that when she taught in Chicago, I kept seeing people walking around with great faces--she really has figured out how to teach this stuff to the masses.
My move begins on Friday ... as much as I want to get out of here, I am dragging my feet on packing and getting organized. I'm hoping that when I have keys to the new place in hand, I'll be more motivated.
Your painting on the face is beautiful. God's blessings on your move.
Here's hoping your move goes well. I am assuming you are still staying in Michigan and not changing jobs, right?
That must have been some class; she is wonderful! What do you plan to do with her?
Best wishes on your packing and move and unpacking. That is such a tough job to do.
That's a lovely face...hope you can get back to her soon!
Sorry to hear the move and a rotten bug have laid you low. Not an auspicious new beginning, huh? But maybe it means things can only get better. Thinking of you here and looking forward to seeing the new sewing studio. (I'm such a voyeur.)
