Today, I received the sweetest note from Dawn, my swap partner in DQS2. My quilt made the trip from middle America to Istanbul Turkey in 6 days and was well-received by her almost three year old, Ela.
It was killing me to NOT share a photo . . . but now I can :-)
I hoped the black cat would look like the black Moroccan cat that I'd been told was part of the family. Ela recognized Pasa immediately. Yay!

Pink, flowers, butterflies, and Pasa the Cat. Perfect. All the way to Istanbul in six days. I'm glad it arrived so you could post a picture.
Too adorable for words. This quilt is very special treasure.
Wow that turned out super fun! I love the personal touch, too. I'm also glad to finally see the whole thing :)
MEOW! I juust saw the rectangles among the squares - clever! Great way to show that ballet fabric.
Oooh, I love it!! Absolutely gorgeous! I've got a little black cat, too :o) - maybe I need to take up quilting.
ps. Thank you very much for your comment on my blog (inchbyinch.blog-city.com) I hope when I post pictures I'm not making them too dark for everyone who crosses it's path ;-)
This is gorgeous, no wonder she loves it! The colors are beautiful & the prints perfect for a little girl. The cat is the perfect touch!
