Sophie I loved all the blue blocks together and I like the read and blue too. I have always wanted to make a rainbow quilt. Do you plan to make that star block each month in different colors?
This is fabulous and the added blue really makes the reds pop. I have to make a red, white and blue quilt for my youngest son who now favors the Phillies (after I bought fabrics in Jersey Devils colors). I really was at a loss on how to keep it from looking flat. Your lovely quilt shows how lots of different fabrics and touches of another color can really make a quilt glow. Thanks for then inspiration.

The plan is to make these star blocks from the designated color each month (reserving the right to take some artistic license, of course ;-)
You can see what a quilt made from multicolor blocks looks at the bottom of this post.
That's going to be spectacular when complete. I love it!
I love that! Putting the red & the blue next to each other really works!
