More of the Same ...

Though I have some new ideas brewing and I did make some blocks for next month's Block Lotto (that I cannot yet share),  and though I have made some additions, my design wall looks much the same ...

51 Baskets

I now have made a total of 51 of these little blocks–halfway to my goal of 100 blocks in 100 days.

Baskets made from new FabricsThis week some new fabric arrived at my house and I couldn't resist cutting into it to make some new baskets.

These along with some others will have their handles stitched down later tonight as my continuing slow Sunday stitching.

I have begun to think of these blocks as baskets of worry, fear and frustration.  I've been having a rough time at work–it's safe to say the honeymoon is over there–and when I come home to sew a block or a few in the evenings, I imagine I am leaving my worry, fears and frustrations within them.

Your basket collection is wonderful! Such a fun project combining machine and hand stitching.
Enjoy stitching the handles today.. and make sure you stitch those worries in tight so they can't get out!
Thanks for linking up to Slow Sunday Stitching!

Stitching with pretty fabrics can and do lift one's spirits. You are going to have a pretty quilt as a result. I note a secondary pattern emerging.

I'm sorry about work not being ideal, but I think your visualization of leaving all that in the baskets is an absolutely healthy and saving thing to do. The baskets don't suffer for it at all. The wall of them is almost enough to get me to make some. =) The four are terrific - wonderful fabrics you bought.

Love the little baskets! I had made a huge pile of these, put them away, and after at least 20 years, drug them back out and FInisheD into a quilt! It is now one of my favorite quilts, why did I wait so long to finish????

It is not everyone's business to write such a great post, one person in a million can write such a beautiful post and you are one of those millions. I hope that you will write more beautiful posts in life and also hope that you will keep climbing the ladder of achievement in your life, very few people do this but I have full hope from you.
