How do we completely lose interest in a project ... or suddenly feel the urge to pick it up and work on it again?
That's what I've been wondering as the urge to turn these blocks, this perennial WIP, into a quilt has taken hold in a big way.
I put the word blocks together last night and pulled out the large rose blocks today to begin work on the border. I have a bunch of blocks–many sent to me by friends from the Block Lotto–but I'll need a bunch more.
Will this urge continue? Will I have the time and inclination for a Lovely Finished top for February after all?
I'm linking with WIP Wednesdays at Freshly Pieced and Esther's Blog.

Let me know what size rose you need and I'll see what I can do to make one to help you finish this project. I think is such a unique quilt, it needs to be finished. Best wishes, Kathie L in Allentown (one of your Block Lotto friends).
Fabulous quilt in process. I love the word blocks, but the roses are the best.
You know, it's interesting. I wasn't that crazy about the words the month we did them in block lotto (though this might be more because I am really bad at making them). But as I watch this quilt grow, I am really liking them. And the roses are just right around the outside...
Looks like an interesting quilt. Love all the roses.

The roses are wonderful! I have always wanted to try those. You have done a great job on your letters, Sophie ~

What a fun quilt!! I joined BL right after that February block. I tried to make letters on my own, but they don't look as nice as everyone's here.
Now that really is a very different fun quilt, be interesting to see who you end up giving it too?????. Love love the roses this sure is going to be some quilt. Thanks for sharing and I also have these strange urges to put 1/2 finished projects away for several years then some thing will trigger the urge to work on it again. Cheers Glenda
Oh, this is SO funny--I just love it. Julierose

I hope so, because it's a great beginning! I love it!
I know the feeling - I hope the urge stays long enough for you to get this project done as it looks fantastic!
