Checking in at the end of Week 1 of Walking in This World:
Morning Pages - 7 days
Walks - 1
Artist Date - yes, and this artist's model came home with me–she's walking, can you tell? I went to Barnes & Noble and just browsed for an hour. I don't go to bookstores much anymore . . . it's so much easier to order online and a lot less overwhelming. I couldn't believe the volume of diet and self-help books. It's been forever since I looked at new cookbooks, flipped through travel books or checked out new mysteries by some of my favorite authors.

A bookstore artist date sounds fabulous to me! I got a $100 gift card to Barnes & Noble for Christmas, so I could go crazy without spending any of "my" $$!

I have an artist model too! It was the one thing that had to come home with me the first time I went to IKEA. Mine is usually doing a lot more bending of her knee, of which I'm envious.
How lucky are you to find a perfect walking symbol on your first week out? I don't exactly know what WITW is, so I'm guessing.
I love book stores, and only get in about once a year. I love the library, too, but the book store has so much more! Happy Walking!

Walking in This World is a book by Julia Cameron, author of The Artist Way. A group of us are working through the 12 weeks of reading and exercises together. The related discussion on the Quilting Forum on about.com is here. Linda did a good job of explaining everything in the check-in on her blog, here.
Yay, Sophie -- way to meet your goals in week 1!
Hi Sophie,
I'm enjoying this! A great idea. I love bookstores I guess it figures since I'm a librarian.
