Good morning SNOW!

The weather forcast said colder temps (warming up tomorrow), with the possibility of snow on the high mountains.  Santa Fe isn't that high ... but I woke up to this.

Snow on April 18
View of the Arroyo from the studio

I guess it was a little premature when I turned off the radiant heat system earlier this week ... this morning all the tile and concrete (in the studio) floors in the house feel like ice.  Good thing I haven't yet packed away all my winter clothes–it's a day for a sweaters, corduroys and Uggs.

It feels funny asking you to keep warm in Santa Fe, especially since we are here waaaaaaaaaay north of you in WA, but please have a hot chocolate on me. We didn't get any snow here in Vancouver WA, but a really cold wind and some flakes at the beginning of Dec. Never amounted to more than a freeze. Weird or what.

Fifty miles south of you Accuweather kept promising us snow in 30+ minutes. I was hoping for rain instead, but we didn't get either one. As I came into the house, I was hoping most people hadn't jumped the gun about turning off their heat yet. Having experienced a few snow days in May over the past couple of decades, it takes me a while to be confident we really are having spring! Stay warm and creative!

Especially Uggs on those cold floors! Hope you stayed warm through the day and the sun comes back warm for you soon.

The wood stove was fired up last night and we had just a sprinkling of snow up here in Mora County. I'm glad I didn't plant any of my veggie plants. I had gardening fever and almost jumped the gun.

It is beautiful but
nice that it is fleeting.

I was very surprised at the amount of snow in town. Good thing I have kept my spring fever in check and didn't buy plants yet. I think I'll wait until May.

What a very rude awakening. We also had a few days like that, but I think Spring has finally sprung and my allergies as well.
