First the Stems ...

StemsHere's my plan for stitching while watching TV tonight ... some stems on my black chunky made fabric background for the Tea Towel challenge quilt.

Blossoms and leaves to follow.

Check out the links on Kathy's Slow Stitching Sunday post to see what other kinds of handwork are going on around blog land.

Can't wait to see what you're making with these blocks! Thanks for linking up!

The black "made fabric" is very attractive. Isn't improvisational piecing fun?

I like the curves on the stems. I'll look forward to seeing the flowers or leaves when you add them.

Love made fabric and the aqua stems really pop on it. The tea towel challenge sounds fun. I probably have several old ones laying around here so may have to give it a try myself!

Oh I see something lovely is happening here! I love the patchwork background. Are you really hand stitching those vines? Sounds relaxing. In the past I'v always machine applique mine.
