Inspired by a quilt

I was minding my own business, enjoying a lazy saturday morning and cruising blogs until I saw this quilt photo on bemused. The caption simply says Tokyo Quilt Show. The author is dashing off again but promises more photos soon. i can't wait. I hope I'll also learn who made this incredible quilt.

Amazing, isn't it?! I am so amazed at some people's vision -- I think I need to experiment more.

I think this quilt is what made me think about Dianne Hire's book, Quilter's Playtime and suggest it on the forum discussion as something a group could do together.

This is totally AWESOME! I love improvisational quilts like this and the very message that one is bucking the quilting system and doing it her way. Bravo to the maker!

I just moved from Jen's Dreamscraps blog to this page and the relationship of this quilt to her Franz Marc paintings blows my mind. The colors, the cubist type shapes, Wow! Talk about synchronisity!
