Gail's description of her quilt, from the program, is "Textile expression of sudden changes in our warming world." It was quilted by Kris Vierra.
It's a great example of what's possible with paper foundation piecing.
Kris' quilting is the perfect complement to the quilt design.

I have been enjoying your series on quilts from the show. Such talent in the quilting world.
Just wondering ... this quilt got first place! Who actually gets the honor, the piecer or the quilter? I think both deserve it. It is beautiful!
They did a great job collaborating on a complex quilt.
